About Us.
Have conversations about racism & justice.
Forged Ed provides equity trainings for educators and leaders wanting to make their schools more equitable. Racism and injustice are still prevalent in our modern-day school system. Systemic racism puts unfair burdens on communities of color. Yet, there are countless teachers and administrators disconnected from this fact. As a result, too many schools exist where students of color feel disengaged from schools that ignore their realities.
Likewise, too many teachers fail to see and support their students’ full humanity. Above all, we believe every child deserves schools that honor their humanity and affirm who they are. So, our work is to help educators as they have conversations about racism & justice, develop their critical consciousness, and build their ability to engage all students. We believe that shared vision and collective capacity lead to more equitable practices within the classroom and more equitable schools.
